"You don't need to be an expert"

Let me take the pressure off you today, because I think it's the thing quietly holding you back.

You do not need to be an expert.

That belief — "who am I to teach or advise anyone?" — stops more capable people over 45 than almost anything I know. So let me reframe it for good.

You don't need to be the world's leading authority. You just need to be one chapter ahead of the person you're helping.

Think about it. You don't need a nutrition degree to help someone who's never cooked a healthy meal. You don't need to have run a Fortune 500 to help a nervous new manager who's exactly where you were 20 years ago.

The person one step behind you doesn't need a guru. They need someone who remembers what it was like to stand where they're standing — and can show them the next step.

You've got 25 or 30 years of "next steps" in you. That's not a little. That's a lifetime of exactly the thing people will pay for.

The only real skill is learning to package what you know and put it in front of the right people. It's honest, it's learnable, and for a lot of people our age it's worth an extra 1,000 to 3,000 a month.

I found a free training that teaches exactly this — for beginners, no hype, no tech background assumed, no pretending to be something you're not.

Give it 30 minutes.
