Let AI help with your decision

Most people think of AI as something that spits out answers. But some of its best use is helping you think — and that's genuinely useful when you're stuck on a decision.

We all have one right now. Move closer to the kids? Take the buyout or hang on? Finally start the thing you keep talking about?

Here's how to use free ChatGPT as a patient thinking partner. Try this, word for word:

"I'm trying to decide whether to [your decision]. Don't tell me what to do. Instead, ask me one question at a time to help me think it through clearly. Start now."

Then just answer honestly, one question at a time.

What happens is quietly powerful. It won't lecture you. It'll ask the questions a wise, unhurried friend would — the ones you've been avoiding. "What are you actually afraid of here?" "What would you tell a friend in your position?"

By the end, you usually know your answer. Not because a computer decided — because you finally got to hear yourself think out loud, with no one judging or interrupting.

I've used this for decisions I'd circled for months. Fifteen minutes of good questions beat a year of it rattling around my head.

This worked very well for me:

That's the shift worth making. AI isn't just for answers. It's a mirror that helps you see what you already know.

And once you're comfortable using it to think, using it to build a little income becomes surprisingly natural. If you want the beginner-friendly way readers over 45 are doing that, it's linked below.
